PURPOSE OF POSITION

The core purpose of Group Procurement within the Ohlthaver & List Group is to drive maximum value and efficiency across all operating companies within the Group by moving away from fragmented, independent purchasing. Procurement focuses on consolidating the collective buying power of all operating companies with the Group by cost efficiency, risk mitigation & compliance and standardization.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a direct procurement or strategic sourcing role.
• Proven experience working in a multi-site or group-company environment.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-level ERP or e-procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license.

• SAP knowledge.
• Contract management experience.
• Strong technical understanding of products or services procured.
• Knowledge of the FMCG environment.
• CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Procurement Manager in delivering Group-wide procurement projects.
• Contribute to sourcing strategy development across Operating Companies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide procurement insights to support cost management and risk visibility.
• Assist in developing and executing Operating Company procurement plans.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, laws, and industry best practices.
• Support procurement audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements.
• Provide category expertise and procurement support to Operating Companies.
• Support improvements to procurement policies, processes, and systems.
• Assist with sustainable and ethical sourcing initiatives.
• Support supplier onboarding, diversification, and performance evaluation.
• Assist Operating Companies with RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Any other duties as and when required.
