PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To plan, support and control daily activities between sections of the Dairy Production Plant (Warehouse, Packaging, Processing Cooler & UHT), by ensuring good manufacturing practices, quality production and overseeing resource movement on the floor. Supporting the Team Leaders in reaching operational targets and drive quality within the process. Training teams in good manufacturing practices and support in designing and maintaining processing systems/procedures and create alignment between processes and resources towards achieving Namibia Dairies production targets.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
• Degree in Food Science, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a production environment, preferably within the dairy or food manufacturing industry.
• Experience in coordinating production processes and supporting operational teams.
KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
• Plan and oversee daily production activities across all sections to ensure seamless workflow and efficiency.
• Support with developing the Production Schedule per week to find the most effective way for operations to reach OTIF
• Coordinate production schedules to meet output targets while maintaining quality and minimizing downtime.
• Ensure smooth communication between Warehouse, Packaging, Processing, Cooler, and UHT sections.
• Track and report on key production metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Support the Business Processes Coordinator to develop policies & procedures in line with operational and long-term strategic goals and objectives, that will ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Review and update Processing policies, procedures & SOPs to ensure compliance to new Legislations, ISO standards and organizational changes/ targets
• Support and render cooperation to quality, packaging, UHT, Warehouse department, to enable full functionality.
• Support in driving corrective actions on identified audit findings timeously.
• Support in planning the allocation of resources and asset utilization effectively to achieve set production targets.
• Utilize systems and processes to track and optimize productivity and standards.
• Support in driving correct and efficient execution of production plans.
• Prepare a monthly production overview report to Senior Production Manager.
