PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To lead and oversee the daily operations of the Sales Department, ensuring revenue growth through effective implementation of the sales strategies, key account management, and operational efficiency to deliver exceptional guest experiences aligned with O&L Leisure’s brand promise—Namibia Through Our Eyes
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Honours or postgraduate qualification in Sales, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in the hospitality and leisure industry, including at least 2 years in a sales management role.
- Strong client relationship management skills across various local market segments.
- Proven ability to analyze business indicators and competitive trends to inform strategy.
- Demonstrated success in sales operations, revenue generation, and key account management.
- Solid understanding of rate management, revenue optimization, E-commerce platforms and reservations.
- Proficiencies in hospitality CRM software and data analytics.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Implement the overarching sales strategy, plans and KPI’s in alignment with overall business strategy.
- Oversee daily sales operations, manage key accounts, and ensure achievement of revenue, occupancies, ADR, RevPAR and RevPOR targets.
- Conduct market analysis, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic action plans.
- Lead sales campaigns, drive local business development, and negotiate contracts to close high-value deals.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to optimize pricing and forecasting strategies.
- Enhance our digital presence and work with marketing teams to boost online sales conversion across all platforms.
- Ensure effective rate management and maximize OTA channel performance.
- Establish and maintain SOPs, monitor KPIs, and ensure consistent use of CRM tools like Sales and Catering.
- Maintain strong brand representation and deliver on the brand promise across all sales touchpoints.
- Lead, train, and mentor the Sales and Reservations team, fostering a high-performance and guest-centric culture.
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, cost control, and ensure compliance with internal policies and labor regulations.
- Collaborate Senior Leadership to support integrated business development.
