PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  

The role focuses on analysing sales performance, forecasting trends, evaluating trade promotions, and providing actionable recommendations to commercial leadership. It also ensures that sales strategies align with the unique challenges of cold chain logistics and product perishability.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • 6 years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or commercial analysis role within FMCG.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with cold chain or perishable products (e.g., dairy, frozen foods, beverages, ready-to-eat meals).

 

KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:

  • Analyze sales data across channels (retail, wholesale, food service, export) to assess volume, value, profitability, and channel effectiveness.
  • Track performance of cold chain SKUs with a focus on product shelf life, freshness, and wastage.
  • Design and maintain automated dashboards and reports (daily, weekly, monthly) using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Highlight risks and opportunities in achieving sales targets and stock movement, especially for high-turnover or short-shelf-life items.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of promotional activities and in-store trade campaigns.
  • Track cold chain sales metrics such as shelf life at point of sale, returns due to temperature abuse, and stock loss due to spoilage.
  • Collaborate with logistics and quality teams to integrate operational data into sales performance reviews.
  • Serve as a key analytics partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Provide data support for strategic projects such as new product launches, market expansion, and channel development.
