PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  

To manage and control stock in Production, by receiving correct raw & packaging material from Procurement, performing stock takes and rotating stock according to FIFO in order to prevent stock losses within Production. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

•    Grade 12 and a minimum 2 years experience in the same/similar position
•    Otherwise an equivalent of 5 years working experience (without relevant qualification) 

PREFFERED/ADVANTAGES 

•    Previous experience in an FMCG and food manufacturing Industry

KEY ACOUNTABILITIES:
  
•    Receive reservations from Administration Assistant
•    Receive packaging and raw material from procurement Warehouse according to reservations
•    Follow up and resolve variances between actual stock and reservations
•    Issue raw and packaging material to Machine Operators/ Team Leader Packaging according to production plan 
•    Communicate any shortages/ out of stock raw and packaging material immediately to Administration Production Scheduler, Machine Operators & Team Leader: Processing 
•    Record all stock losses with regards to issued verses actual production and submit to Administration Production Scheduler daily
•    Count all daily produced products, record on count sheet with order number and submit to Administration Production Scheduler
•    Perform daily opening and closing stock takes, complete stock count sheet and submit sheet to Administration Assistant
•    Perform re-counts where discrepancies have been identified
•    Rotate stock in the Production Warehouse according to FIFO
•    Handle raw and packaging material with caution to avoid damages
•    Wear full PPE before commencement of duty to avoid injuries on duty
