PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To plan, organise and execute the strategic planning of the operations department by collating data, preparation/ building of business plans for analysis and to support decision making to ensure best operating practices and profitable business.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Code B Driver’s License
- Bachelor’s Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 in Commerce or Finance.4
- 7 years’ experience in Commercial Finance, of which 3 years’ must be in a managerial role with strategic planning exposure.
Preferred/Advantageous
- 3 years completed articles or additional postgraduate qualification in the Finance field
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct monthly financial and operational analysis at both store and regional levels to support performance tracking and decision-making.
- Facilitate monthly regional meetings and performance reviews, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals.
- Monitor and control sales budgets, ensuring adherence to financial procedures and targets.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating inputs and consolidating plans across departments.
- Provide analytical support for financial and operational activities, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage the Managing Director’s calendar and agenda, ensuring effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Administer and coordinate meetings between the Managing Director’s office, departments, and external partners.
- Support internal communication efforts, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information.
- Respond to reasonable requests from the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Directors, and Shareholders.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive documents and trade secrets.
- Uphold company standards by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support all functions within the Operations department related to financial planning, operational execution, and business implementation.
- Drive innovation by identifying, planning, and implementing new business opportunities.
- Track and monitor the performance of new initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the functions and work delivery of all reporting staff.
- Monitor, manage and review performance of reporting staff.
