PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Provide one-stop service to customers, which include taking orders and preparing meals following Hartlief recipes. Adhering to the restaurant menu and following food health and safety procedures in order to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the take-away section at all times and enhance customer service delivery.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Grade 12 Certificate OR Grade 10 certificate with 2 years customer service experience in a retail environment.

KEY JOB OUTPUTS:

  • Take-away area set up, organised, and kept clean at all times in line with housekeeping standards
  • Correct use of cleaning materials and chemicals to maintain hygiene and safety
  • Operational tasks planned and executed to support overall cleanliness and customer satisfaction
  • Grill, deep fryer, hot food counter, and utensils prepared and ready for each shift
  • Food items prepared accurately and on time to support service flow
  • Customer orders taken correctly and efficiently
  • Meals cooked in compliance with food health and safety standards
  • Multiple orders handled simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy
  • Food dressed and presented to company standards
  • Team support provided during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
  • Customers welcomed and engaged in line with standard operating procedures
  • Accurate order taking and timely delivery of correct meals and sides
  • Clear communication with customers regarding order progress and delays
  • Customer complaints handled professionally and politely
  • Consistent delivery of high service standards to drive customer satisfaction
  • Housekeeping and food safety standards maintained throughout operations
  • Compliance with company health and safety regulations ensured
  • Equipment operated at correct temperatures and safety precautions adhered to
  • Machines cleaned after use and maintained according to standards
  • Electrical appliances safely switched off at close of business
  • All areas cleaned and left in a hygienic condition at the end of each shift
  • Protective clothing worn correctly and health and safety procedures enforced
  • Stocktake preparation completed accurately and on time
  • Participation in scheduled stocktakes with attention to accuracy
  • Confidential documents and trade secrets protected at all times
  • Reasonable management requests carried out efficiently
  • Incidents, losses, or regulatory breaches reported and managed appropriately
  • Attendance and participation in required meetings, training, and workshops
  • Operational support provided across areas during absences or crisis situations
  • Full compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards
