PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To carry out the sales and operational activities of the Toiletries department, ensuring the correct implementation of standards and excellent service that contributes to the store’s profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Grade 11/12 (National Senior Certificate).
• Minimum 1 year retail or customer service experience.

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Certificate in Wholesale/Retail.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Merchandising

• Collect stock from storerooms or warehouses and pack shelves according to set standards.
• Rotate stock continuously using FIFO.
• Maintain cleanliness on shelves and ensure storerooms are orderly.
• Maintain QDVP4 standards and bulk displays.

Pricing Functions

• Place correct price stickers on all products.
• Check and update price changes.
• Ensure barcodes scan correctly at tills.
• Place promotional flashes on seasonal and promotional items.

Sales & Customer Service

• Provide fast, friendly, and effective customer service.
• Assist customers with product enquiries, usage, prices, and availability.
• Share product promotions and maintain continuous product knowledge.

Stock Taking

• Prepare for stock take according to set processes.
• Attend stock takes as scheduled.

General & Ad Hoc Duties

• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Assist in other areas during staff shortages or busy periods.
• Report incidents (accidents, theft, loss, damage) where possible.
• Attend required meetings, training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
