PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

To carry out the overall operations of the warehouse by maintaining effective stock storage, handling and management, ensuring efficient support to store operations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • National Senior Level Certificate (Gr 11/12).

 

ADVANTAGEOUS

 

  • 1–2 years retail or warehouse operations experience.
  • Stock rotation and product knowledge.
  • Certificate in Wholesale & Retail.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Warehouse Operations

  • Pick and dispatch orders accurately according to required quality and quantity.
  • Pack out open boxes and loose stock in the warehouse.
  • Maintain proper stock rotation and stamp all boxes with date stamps.
  • Identify overstock, understock, and dormant stock and report to Supervisor.
  • Minimize stock losses and shrinkage through proper storage, packing, and handling.
  • Identify expired and damaged stock and send it to the RTM cage.

 

Stock Management

  • Participate in stock takes and related preparations.
  • Handle stock queries and maintain accurate warehouse records.

 

Housekeeping, Health & Safety

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, especially safe stacking procedures.
  • Use coolers and freezers according to set standards.
  • Clean equipment after use and report damages.
  • Maintain a hygienic and orderly warehouse environment.

 

General & Ad Hoc Duties

  • Maintain confidentiality of company documents and trade information.
  • Assist in other operational areas when required.
  • Attend training, meetings, workshops and stock takes as scheduled.
  • Comply with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
